Crochet!

Wild Flower Sweater -
PictureA surprisingly easy-to-make sweater, with a variety of options to make it just right for you. We'll start with the beautiful back medallion, then you decide - cropped or long back; long, short or no sleeves; rounded or straight front; buttons, shawl pin or leave it open? This sweater uses basic crochet stitches and has step-by-step directions. A perfect choice for your first crocheted garment.

Four Sessions-Wednesdays, October 16 (6-9pm), October 30, November 13 and December 4, 6-8 pm; $80, supplies not included.


Beaded Wrist-itts - 
Elegant or funky, depending on your yarn/bead choices, these wrist-itts are fashionable, functional and fun. Make them into wrist-warmers or fingerless mitts; long or short, beaded or not; the choices are all yours. This is a great project to learn, or practice, beading techniques; simple ribbing; and working in the round. You'll be surprised by how easy these are to make - and how little yarn they use!

Thick yarn, large hook, interesting stitch = quick-to-finish bag that will look great carrying your latest yarn project, toting your everyday essentials, or giving as a gift. Worked in the round, using a vintage "star" stitch, this bag is easily customized for size, handles, color and more.

Crochet Away The New Year

Ready to learn some new stitches? Saturday's crochet class - the first of the new year - features a project that looks great in any weight yarn.
Diagonal Color Scarf

This colorful, textured scarf uses multi-color yarn (such as Mochi Plus) worked on the diagonal to produce a self-striping design. This is a fun, easy stitch pattern that you'll use again and again, for shawls, afghans, baby blankets and more. Class is scheduled for Saturday January 15, 12:30 - 3:30 pm. Have you tried Tunisian crochet yet? Open, lacy stitches make this graceful scarf one you'll wear again and again.
Starlight Tunisian Scarf

We'll build on basic Tunisian stitches, and using a simple two-row repeat, create a double-crochet shell pattern that has great drape and character. If you don't already know the Tunisian Simple Stitch, please arrive to class 30 minutes early and we'll get you up to speed before class starts.The Starlight Tunisian Scarf class is Tuesday, January 18, 6 - 9 pm.
